My Gas Bills Were Through the Roof

My neighbor and I were having coffee one morning several months ago. I had just received my latest gas bill in the mail, and I was upset at how much money it was. She told me that she was paying a small fraction of what I was being charged, which really upset me because our bills should have been around the same price. When I asked her how she managed it, she told me that it was because of a company that does custom glass in Somerset County, NJ. She had a high gas bill at one time herself, and having new windows installed is what made the difference in her bill.

She gave me the number for the company that installed her windows because she said they gave her a great price on them. I had always admired her windows and had no idea they were purchased just a few years ago, as I had just moved in last year. I contacted the company and explained my situation, and they offered to come out and give me a free estimate on how much it would cost to replace all of my windows.

I knew that I would have to get to this point one year, so there was no better time than now since it was costing me a lot more by not having them replaced. When they came to give me the estimate, they also told me that the windows were allowing moisture leaks to come in as well as small insects, and that new windows would fix both of those problems. The price I was quoted was really fair, and they were able to have the work done the following week. My house looks so much better, and my gas bills are looking a lot more reasonable now too!
