Disappointment again in Indian football

Climax Lawrence, former Indian captain and the trusted defensive mid-fielder of Indian National football team has retired from football. The player has announced his retirement from international football after being dropped from the AFC Challenge Cup probable 30. The player had already decided to announce his retirement after the AFC Challenge Cup, but was disheartened when the Indian football coach Savio Medeira dropped him from the team.

Dropping out of the best football player

Climax Lawrence is the player, under the captaincy of whom India has won the SAFF cup. He has been one of those players who have been considered as the best defensive mid-fielder of India. As per him, the same coach has told him that there is 2 more years of football left in him. And now he has dropped him from the same team. He will continue to play for his club Dempo Sports Club of Goa but will not play any more international matches, further.

Treatment with the football player not good

For him, this is not the way to treat the senior players of the team, who have given all their life behind bring9ng up the quality and performance of the football team of the nation. He has been the part of the national team from the year 2002 when he was called by the former coach Stephen Constantine. Since then he has been a regular part of the Indian Football team and has been also the part of the winning team of the Nehru Cup of 2007 and 2009 and the AFC Challenge cup of 2008.
