IPv6 is in Action Now From June 6th, 2012
Device on Internet is growing and room to occupy these devices was not sufficient in our existing IPv4 technology. To avoid further disturbance online and to widen the Internet a new dawn has arise in Internet Technology called IPv6 which has launched on 6th June 2012. So from now onwards Google and other major Internet Service providers and Web Technology firm has officially given a Green Signal to new IPv6 version of Internet IP Address.
What is IPv4 and IPv6?
IPv4 and IPv6 are the IP Address technology are also called set of protocols that we use for the purpose of communication. Internet operates in the IP address number format structure that we usually call as Domain Names, so whenever you type some website address the device that you use for browsing or surfing it works in the format of these numbers at the backend where these numbers are referred as IP address. These IP address communicates and we think our machine is communicating with other machine or cellphone, printers, television etc present on network.
Why Do We Are Adopting New IPv6 From IPv4?
Because we are running out of IP address format and we need some new structure to control or feed our requirements. With advance in Cell Phone Technology these days, our cell phones even need IP address and that is why we are running out of IP address so we need new IPv6
